Reputation Management Strategy and Process Execution for Online Accounting Software

Challenge

Accounting Seed reached out to Rhino Reviews in the Fall of 2021 for help with growing their online reputation as they noticed that prospects were mentioning online reviews from platforms such as G2, Consumer Affairs, SourceForge, etc. during their sales process. 

Their competitors in the space, for example Quickbooks, had hundreds of reviews across multiple platforms and Accounting Seed had only a handful and a less than ideal rating.

Solution

Rhino Reviews worked with Accounting Seed to understand their typical client lifecycle, onboarding processes, renewals, and more in order to put together a robust review generation strategy. 

There were 3 main points of their reputation strategy that Rhino Reviews worked to research and then outline:

1 – Which platforms should Accounting Seed prioritize?

2 – What points of the customer lifecycle are the ideal times to ask for a review?

3 – Is an incentive required and if so, what amount?

Rhino Reviews met with 6 possible review platforms to review their packages, Accounting Seed’s current presence on the platform, and potential impact for the business for targeting these platforms. 

Rhino Reviews also tested various incentive levels with lower volumes of customers to determine the minimal amount to offer customers and drive reviews while also preserving the clients budget. 

Lastly, Rhino used an NPS survey process to determine the best moments to reach out to customers and solicit reviews. 

Results

After working to craft the strategy in the first month, Rhino Reviews and Accounting Seed agreed upon the approach and team Rhino began to execute!

Accounting Seed saw a 50% increase in reviews comparing year over year with Rhino’s strategy and admitted that they have saved hours of manual work time that their team previously spent asking for reviews. 

2 years later, Accounting Seed and Rhino Reviews still work together and meet biweekly to update their strategy and ensure they continue to drive 5-star results!
